RPM ACQUIRES BHP ARCHIVE

Along with its Formula One activity, Racing Past Media is pleased to announce the purchase of the renowned BHP archive of British and International motor sport.

From the early seventies to the mid nineties Barrie Hinchliffe Productions pioneered the coverage of World Championship Rallying and the British Touring Car Championship on programmes like BBC Grandstand and ITV’s World of Sport.

The acquisition gives Racing Past Media quality coverage of 113 World Championship rallies, mainly from the spectacular Group B years, along with over five seasons of the coverage that helped launch the modern televised era of the British Touring Car Championship.

And there is much more in an archive of well over a thousand hours, including unique, unseen footage of the early karting days of Lewis Hamilton.

The BHP archive will provide extra range and variety to an archive which will be growing significantly over the next year.
